Join the fun at the Finney County FairThe 2010 Finney County Fair will be held July 29 through Aug. 1 on the fairgrounds in Garden City. There's something for everyone at the Finney County Fair. Enter an exhibit, see booths and animals, take in a concert or the demolition derby, enjoy great food, have fun at the carnival and join your friends. For all the details about the Finney County Fair, pick up a fair book at the Finney County Extension Office or visit the fair website at finneycountyfair.org. For more information, contact the Finney County Extension Office at 620-272-3670. Don't miss your opportunity to buy home-baked goodies at the Finney County Fair. All of the 4-H Foods projects will be on sale on July 28 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Grandstand Meeting Room on the fairgrounds. The Open Class Foods division entries will be sold on July 30 beginning at 10 a.m. also at the Grandstand Meeting Room. Each sale will continue until the food is gone. The award-winning projects are the result of youth and adult bakers who entered the Finney County Fair foods competition. The cost for baked items will range from $0.25 to $6, and all proceeds will benefit the Finney County 4-H Ambassadors and the Finney County Family and Community Education Units.
