Champions selected at 2010 Kansas Junior Angus Show

Kansas junior Angus members led 116 entries at the 2010 Kansas Junior Angus Association Preview Show, June 5 in Hutchinson, Kan. Kevin Kleinman, Wentworth, Mo., evaluated five bred-and-owned bulls, 66 owned females, 29 bred-and-owned females, six cow-calf pairs, and 10 registered Angus steers before choosing winners.

LLP W3 The Look T22 was named grand champion bred-and-owned bull. Lauren Prill, Wichita, Kan., owns the January 2009 son of O C C The Look 873K.

MacKenzie Flory, Baldwin City, Kan., led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull. May-Way Net Worth 909 is a May 2009 son of S A V Net Worth 4200.

McCurry Blackcap 9024 claimed the Bob Laflin Supreme Champion Award and grand champion owned female honors after first winning late junior champion. Tanner Rayl, Hutchinson, Kan., owns the March 2009 daughter of Marands M-W Assassin 518.

Sedgwicks Barbara 145W won reserve grand champion female. Courtenay DeHoff, Tonganoxie, Kan., owns the March 2009 daughter of B C Lookout 7024. She first won reserve late junior champion.

MacKenzie Flory, Baldwin City, Kan., led the grand champion bred-and-owned female. May Way Blackcapette 840 is a November 2008 daughter of S A V Net Worth 4200. She first won senior calf champion.

Sandhill S Ruby 099 was named reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female. Ethan Hager, Stafford, Kan., owns the September 2009 daughter of EXAR Spartan 6225. She first won senior champion.

Dylan Bair, Hutchinson, Kan., showed the grand champion cow-calf pair. Sedgwicks Princess T350 is a September 2007 daughter of S A V 8180 Traveler 004. A November 2009 bull calf sired by B C Lookout 7024 completes the winning pair.

Grady Dickerson, Paradise, Kan., exhibited the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Bar S Pride 8594 is a March 2008 daughter of TC Freedom 104. Her calf is a January 2010 daughter sired by Plainview Lutton E102.

A G C Lone Star Zeus 629-905 claimed grand champion Angus steer. Alexandria Cozzitorto, De Soto, Kan., owns the March 2009 son of R & L Platinum 6611.

Bar S 7803 Freedom 9538 was named grand reserve champion Angus steer. Grady Dickerson, Paradise, Kan., owns the March 2009 son of Bar S FREEDOM 7803.
