Soybean association announces seminar

Arkansas

The Arkansas Soybean Association has set Jan. 26 as the date of its 46th Annual Business Session and Seminar. The informative seminar and business session will be held at the Convention Center (1501 Weatherby Drive) in Brinkley, Ark., with registration beginning at 8:15 a.m., program at 9 a.m., and will conclude in mid-afternoon.

The program will include a look at global warming, agricultural legislative updates, information on soybeans and nutrition, and farm safety. We will also hear the latest information from the American Soybean Association, Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board, and United Soybean Board. Speakers scheduled at this time are Michael Borengasser, AR state climatologist; Rob Joslin, president, American Soybean Association; Matt Jackson, Arkansas Farm Bureau; Thomas Badger, Ph.D., director, Arkansas Children's Nutrition Center; Sen. Lincoln's Ag Committee staff members; Andrew Oliver, chairman, Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board; and Jim Carroll III, United Soybean Board director.
