MCHF to hold Fourth Annual Trustee's Gathering, business meeting and benefit in LewistownMontana The Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame & Western Heritage Center will hold its Fourth Annual Trustees Gathering, business meeting, and "Circle the Wagons" dinner and auction benefit Feb. 6 at the Yogo Inn in Lewistown. A "Cowboy Social," free and open to all, will be held Feb. 5, beginning at 5 p.m. The night will include cowboy poetry, stories, and music. Registration opens at 10 a.m., Feb. 6 followed by a new member, trustee and community orientation workshop at 11 a.m. The annual business meeting begins at 1 p.m. All current members, trustees and directors are invited to attend to vote on proposed amendments to the bylaws and elect new directors and officers. The trustees will gather from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. After the business of the day is concluded, a social hour will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the Fourth Annual "Circle the Wagons" dinner and auction. Renowned ag broadcaster and Montana State Senator Taylor Brown will be Master of Ceremonies. MCHF&WHC will honor comic artist, painter and novelist Stan Lynde for his contribution to Montana's Western Heritage. Lynde will sign copies of his book "Careless Creek" which is based in the Lewistown area. The silent and live auctions will feature an impressive array of Western items, including paintings, sculptures, jewelry and much more. A dance will follow with music provided by the "Walk'em Boys." Dinner tickets are $45 per person, which includes admittance to the dance. Registrations will be accepted through Jan. 29. Hotel room blocks are available until Jan. 23 at the Yogo Inn, Calvert Hotel, Super 8, and the B & B Motel.
