The Southeast Colorado Resource Conservation and Development Council invites its partners and the general public to attend their Annual Meeting/Holiday Banquet Dec. 3. The event is being held at Chez W Duvall's, in Granada from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Council will report on their current community development and small business start-up projects throughout southeast Colorado.
Featured guest speakers will be from Big Squeeze LLC, a biodiesel plant out of Rocky Ford. This new company was the brainchild of three local farmers and businessmen: Hal Holder, Joel Lundquist and Rick Young. Holder and Lundquist will present on their production facility, which provides enough biodiesel to meet the needs of many ag producers, and a byproduct supply of high quality protein meal to meet the needs of a mid-size cattle feeding operation.
Thanks to three generous sponsors, the event is free to attend: Skyland Grain LLC serving Johnson, Walsh, Syracuse, Elkhart, Big Bow and Manter; Valley Distributing Company-your Justice Brother's Distributor; and Tinnes Air Care Services, Inc.
A roast beef dinner will be served. Seating is limited. Please RSVP at 719-336-3437 ext. 124 or to email@example.com by Nov. 27.
