Educator focused on water transfers to Dawson County

Nebraska

People in Dawson County will now see more of University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension Educator, Alan Corr, since he has transferred his office from the West Central Research and Extension Center in North Platte to the Dawson County Extension Office in Lexington.

Corr's focus is water-related issues such as management of both surface and ground water in agriculture and water education for youth and adults. For the past three years in North Platte, he has worked on programming to illustrate the connection between ground and surface water. He has dealt with issues of conservation and of the quality and quantity of Nebraska water.

Corr's area of responsibility includes all of the West Central District of Nebraska. He also works statewide on some water projects.

In Dawson County, Corr will continue his water-related work, as well as working with crop producers on crop management issues. He will also provide some educational programming related to crop production.
