New book is best 'how-to' guide for bison production, marketing

With the demand for bison meat at an all-time high, the National Bison Association recently issued a new comprehensive handbook designed to guide newcomers through the ins-and-outs of the bison business.

The all-new Bison Producers' Handbook, released in January, represents a multi-year project of compiling the collective expertise of more than 30 long-time bison producers and marketers in the United States and Canada. The 280-page book contains chapters covering all facets of production and marketing.

The $40 handbook is available through the National Bison Association website's online store at www.bisoncentral.com. The handbook is free to new Active NBA members and is available at a 50 percent discount for current members of the National Bison Association.
