Aberdeen livestock sales reportThe Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 6,145 head Feb. 3, compared to 2,150 head last week and 3,717 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $2 higher overall. Demand was good, overall quality was very attractive. Many were offered as load lots. Steers comprised 51% of the offerings, heifers 49%, with 80% of supply over 600 pounds.
