Huron cattle sales reportThe Bales Continental Commission Co., Huron, S.D., reported receipts of 2,378 head Feb. 3, compared to 689 head last week and 2,290 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Due to low numbers last week, trends were not applicable. A steady to higher market was noted. Demand was good. Some load lots were in this sale. Some good replacement heifers sold. The offering was comprised of 56% steers, 44% heifers, with 84% of the run over 600 pounds.
