Superior video auction report

The Superior Video Auction reported offerings of 30,000 head June 29, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Amarillo, Texas.

Compared to the last sale, feeder steers and heifers were unevenly steady with some firmness noted on weights over 800 pounds. The supply was moderate, with trade and demand moderate. The supply includes 68% feeder steers and heifers over 600 pounds, 58% of supply steers and 42% heifers, with bred stock consisting of approximately 2% of the total receipts. Prices FOB based on net weights after a 2 to 3% pencil shrink or equivalent, with a 3 to 6 cent slide on yearlings and 4 to 10 on calves. Deliveries current through June 2010.
