Rural Nebraska business programs to get $325,000

OMAHA, Neb. (AP)--Two Nebraska programs designed to help rural businesses will receive $325,000 in federal stimulus money.

U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson says the money will go to a business development fund in Wahoo and a fund designed to help businesses in a 35-county area.

The Greater Wahoo Development fund will receive $125,000. That money will be used to give low-interest loans to businesses within five miles of the city.

The other $200,000 will go to the Invest Nebraska Corporation for a revolving fund that will make loans to business in 35 rural counties.
