Farm Marketing 101 seminar Feb. 4

Kansas

This is the time of year, as we get closer to tax time; we begin to think about farm record keeping. Good farm records are the key to a successful marketing plan. If you are interested in learning more about farm record keeping and marketing, join us on Feb. 4 at 3 p.m., in the 4-H building on the Graham County fairgrounds for an introduction to record keeping and farm marketing concepts.

Terminology such as futures and options, hedging, put and calls will be explained. Our featured presenter will be Todd Ziegler, executive director of the Kansas Farm Management Association. At least 8 RSVPs are required in order to hold this program. If there is sufficient interest, follow up programming with more advanced material may be available. Home-made snacks and drinks will be available.

Please call the Graham County Extension Office at 785-421-3411 to register.
