Weed Management School Jan. 21

Kansas

One of the top priorities for crop producers is efficient weed control. Check out the most up to date research information at the Weed Management School that will be held Jan. 25 starting at noon at the Ness County Fairgrounds in Ness City. There is no cost to attend the meeting, but please RSVP (call 800-460-9079) by Jan. 21 so enough food can be ordered. Must have 10 registrations for meeting to be held.

Featured speakers will be Dallas Peterson and Curtis Thompson, Extension Weed Scientists. The topics covered include: "Weed Seedling Identification," "Weed Control in Field Crops," and "Glyphosate Resistance and Management Issues."

CCA credits and CEU credits for 3 hours of pest management for 1A Commercial Pesticide Applicator Recertification will be available.

The Walnut Creek Extension District and the following herbicide companies are sponsoring this school: DuPont, Bayer, Monsanto, Syngenta and BASF.

K-State Research and Extension is committed to making its services, activities, and programs accessible to all participants. If you have special requirements due to a physical, vision or hearing disability, please contact David Coltrain at 1-800-460-9079.
