Fire destroys hay at Le Mars dairy

LE MARS, Iowa (AP)--A fire has struck at a dairy farm in Le Mars in western Iowa.

KTIV-TV in Sioux City reports hay caught fire in a large storage facility at Dykstra Dairy on Nov. 26. Crews from Le Mars fire and rescue responded to the fire and no one was injured. There was only minor damage, but about 10,000 gallons of water were needed to put the flames out. A lot of hay was lost.

It took crews about three hours to get the fire under control.
