The Pratt Livestock Auction, Pratt, Kan., Sept. 24, reported estimated receipts of 1,000 head,, as of 3 p.m., according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City Winter Livestock, Inc., reported receipts of Dodge City, Kan.
Compared with last week, feeder steers at 450 to 550 pounds were fully $5 lower; 550 to 750 pounds were not tested; 750 to 800 pounds were $2 to $3 lower; 800 to 950 pounds were steady; and 950 pounds and over were $1 lower in a light test. Heifers at 600 to 650 pounds were steady; 650 to 700 pounds were $4 lower; 700 to 750 pounds were $6 to $7 lower; 750 to 800 pounds were not tested; 800 to 850 pounds were $2 to $3 lower; and 850 pounds and over were not tested. Steers at 450 pounds and under and heifers 600 pounds and under were not enough for a market test as of 3 p.m.
Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 350 to 400 lbs., 117.50 to 119.00; 4 head, 446 lbs., 113.00; 450 to 500 lbs., 107.50 to 111.00; 4 head, 523 lbs., 99.00; 750 to 800 lbs., 95.00 to 95.75; 16 head, 831 lbs., 93.75.
Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 650 to 700 lbs., 88.00 to 92.10; 700 to 750 lbs., 87.50 to 88.25; 750 to 800 lbs., 85.00 to 87.00; 800 to 850 lbs., 86.00 to 87.50; 27 head, fancy 868 lbs., 87.60.
