ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP)--Wild horses will available for $25 in Rock Springs during National Wild Horse Adoption Day.
The U.S. Bureau of Land Management is offering horses for adoption Sept. 26, that were gathered from the Muskrat Basin and Dishpan Butte Herd Management Areas near Lander.
BLM staff will take applications and help people choose their horses. The horses available include yearlings, young geldings and mares and mare/foal pairs.
The BLM together with wild horse groups and other animal advocates are encouraging people to adopt a wild horse or burro on National Wild Horse Adoption Day.
