Farm equipment stolen in four states found in Kansas
COLBY, Kan. (AP)--Authorities in western Kansas have recovered roughly $1.3 million worth of farm equipment stolen from four states.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said Sept. 15 that a John Deere tractor reported stolen from Colorado was found late last week in Thomas County.
The KBI said a subsequent probe turned up a variety of other equipment that had been reported stolen from Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
Agents from the KBI and FBI are helping seven western Kansas sheriff's departments with the investigation. The counties are Cheyenne, Greeley, Rawlins, Scott, Sherman, Wichita and Thomas.
