Mathews named program specialist for V.G. Young Institute

Texas

The appointment of Ashley L. Mathews as a program specialist at the V.G. Young Institute of County Government has been announced by director Rick Avery. She began her new duties Aug. 20.

"We are fortunate to have a person of Ashley's caliber to fill this important role. Her extensive background in developing educational programs for adult learners, as well as her experience in working cooperatively with local and state leaders, is a great asset," said Avery.

The institute, a part of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, provides continuing education to the state's county officials.
