St. Onge livestock sales reportThe St. Onge Livestock Sales Co., Ltd., St. Onge, S.D., reported receipts of 4,028 head Oct. 16, compared to 1,815 head last week and 2,343 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week's lighter run, feeder cattle weighing under 600 pounds sold mostly $2 to $3 higher with more cattle on offer today. There was no comparison on feeder cattle weighing over 800 pounds due to light run last week. Buyer attendance was good with moderate demand. The supply consisted of approximately 62% steers, 38% heifers, and 49% weighing over 600 pounds.
