Lexington livestock sales report

The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Mo., reported receipts of 1,400 head Oct. 16, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb.

Compared to the sale two weeks ago, there were too few to establish a trend. Demand and trade activity were moderate to good. The total receipts consisted of 67% steers and 33% heifers, with 57% of the total offerings weighing over 600 pounds.

Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 16 head, 485 to 498 lbs., 90.00 to 92.50 (90.64); 23 head, 573 lbs., 85.00; 8 head, 686 lbs., 90.00. Medium and large frame 2, 25 head, 803 lbs., 56.00.
