Tulsa livestock auction report

The Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 2,714 head Oct. 12, compared to 3,116 head last week and 3,050 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, steer calves and feeders were steady to $1 higher. Heifer calves and feeders were steady to $1 lower. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average to full. The supply included 48% steers with 25% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. A total of 372 cows and bulls sold with 50% going to slaughter.

Pairs: Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 1 to 3 years old, 850 to 900 lbs., with 150- to 225-lb. calves, high quality, 850.00; 7 years old, 1250 lbs., with 250-lb. calves, high quality, 850.00.
