4-H names 2009 Hall of Fame winners

Oklahoma

Two area teens have been honored as they were named to the 2009 Oklahoma County 4-H Hall of Fame for their many years of hard work and contributions to their community.

Caitlin Hudson, daughter of Casey and Angela Hudson of Harrah, and Claressa Cortesio, daughter of Phil and Sherri Cortesio of Oklahoma City, both received the Hall of Fame distinction, which is the highest honor a 4-H member may be awarded at a county level.

"We're happy to welcome both Caitlin and Claressa to our Hall of Fame," commented Kyle Worthington, 4-H youth educator for the Oklahoma County 4-H program. "This honor is only achieved after many years of dedication to their 4-H clubs and their communities."

Claressa is now serving as the volunteer 4-H leader for the Power Pups 4-H Club, which is devoted to dog obedience training, while Caitlin is already working towards her veterinary degree where she plans to focus on large animals.

For more information about the Oklahoma County 4-H program, contact the OSU Cooperative Extension Service at 713-1125.
