Cleveland 4-H teams win at State Fair

Cleveland County's 4-H entomology senior judging team pulled off a first place win recently at the Oklahoma State Fair. Teams are given a variety of insects to identify in this competition. The first place team members were Wooby Armstrong, Lauren Schrank and Addie Jackson. The junior team of Gabrielle Pingleton, Mariah Pingleton and Patrick Schrank placed second.

Cleveland County 4-H'er Wooby Armstrong placed first and Lauren Schrank placed sixth in the senior individual competition. Junior individual winners were second place Addie Jackson, fifth place Gabrielle Pingleton, sixth place Mariah Pingleton and tenth place Patrick Schrank.

The 4-H Consumer judging teams also placed. In this competition different scenarios of consumer projects are given and the teams or individuals must rate the best to the worst and give reasons for their selections. The senior teams placing third were Emily Morrow, Wooby Armstrong, and Lauren Schrank. Individual senior placements were Lauren Schrank third and Wooby Armstrong seventh.

The junior team which placed fourth consisted of Addie Jackson, Patrick Schrank, Jessica Morrow and Mariah Pingleton. Placing eighth were Maya Henderson, Mollee Dingler, Trizah Colyer and Julie Armstrong.
