West Plains regional cattle salesThe Ozarks Regional Stockyard, West Plains, Mo., reported receipts of 2,600 head Oct. 5, compared to 2,932 head last week and 2,174 head last year, according to the Missouri Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Jefferson City, Mo. Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold $2 to $5 lower, although several 5 to 6 weight steers were steady to $2 lower, but most 450- to 600-pound heifers were $4 to $6 lower.
