Tulsa livestock auction reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 3,116 head Oct. 5, compared to 3,336 head last week and 2,001 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, steers calves under 550 pounds were steady to $2 lower. Feeder steers were $2 to $3 lower. Heifer calves and feeders were $2 to $4 lower. Demand was moderate to good for all classes. Fill was average to full. The supply included 38% steers with 20% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to $1 lower. A total of 425 cows and bulls sold with 45% going to packers.
