Woodward livestock auction reportThe Woodward Livestock Market, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 4,185 head Oct. 2, compared to 4,141 head last week and 5,200 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were $3 lower. Feeder heifers were $2 to $4 lower. Steer calves under 550 pounds were $1 to $4 higher, heavier weights were steady to $3 lower. Heifer calves under 550 pounds were $3 higher except 450 pounds were $3 lower, heavier weights were $3 lower. Demand was moderate for feeders, moderate to good for calves. Fill was average to full. The supply included 68% over 600 pounds, 36%heifers.
