Presho livestock auctionThe Presho Livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 3,255 head Oct. 1, compared to 3,959 head last week, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to two weeks ago, feeder steers sold steady to $2 lower. Feeder heifers sold $1 to $3 lower, and some instances were $4 lower on heifers weighing over 900 pounds. Mostly potloads on offer. The offering included 47% of run was steers, 53% was heifers, with 100% 600 pounds and over. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 21 head, 719 lbs., 94.50; 12 head, 771 lbs., 96.75; 810 to 846 lbs., 90.00 to 98.75 (94.24); 850 to 880 lbs., 93.00 to 98.75 (95.94); 908 to 945 lbs., 90.35 to 94.85 (92.79); 57 head, 952 lbs., 90.50. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 655 to 675 lbs., 93.35 to 93.85 (93.57); 767 to 785 lbs., 87.35 to 89.85 (88.73); 4 head, 908 lbs., 85.75. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 713 to 720 lbs., 88.25 to 88.75 (88.45); 760 to 799 lbs., 88.25 to 89.00 (88.57); 800 to 849 lbs., 86.50 to 89.00 (88.23); 850 to 891 lbs., 87.00 to 89.10 (87.95); 909 to 933 lbs., 84.20 to 84.75 (84.55). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 659 to 679 lbs., 85.25 to 89.50 (88.98); 7 head, 788 lbs., 82.25.
