Lexington livestock sales reportThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 2,200 head Oct. 2, compared to 1,400 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared with two weeks ago, steers and heifers weighing 800 pounds and heavier trended steady. Demand and trade activity were moderate to good. The total receipts consisted of 55% steers and 45% heifers, with 93% of the total offerings weighing over 600 pounds.
