Colorado feeder cattle auctionThe Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo., reported receipts of 4,308 head Oct. 2, compared to 3,570 head last week and 3,205 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo. Compared to last week, feeder steers under 700 pounds were $5 to $6 lower and over 700 pounds were $1 to $2 lower. Feeder heifers under 700 pounds were $2 to $3 lower and over 700 pounds unevenly steady. Demand was moderate to good. Trade was moderate. The supply was made up of 65% feeder steers, and the balance was feeder heifers, 70% of total feeder supply was over 600 pounds.
