Denison feeder cattle reportThe Denison Feeder Cattle Auction, Denison, Iowa, reported receipts of 1,189 head Oct. 29, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was Denison's calf and yearling sale. No comparison was available for a trend. There was moderate supply to meet good demand. The receipts included 54% steers and 46% heifers, with 77% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 13 head, 417 to 418 lbs., 111.00 to 115.50 (114.35); 17 head, 465 to 493 lbs., 107.00 to 109.50 (108.91); 516 to 544 lbs., 100.00 to 103.00 (102.23); 560 to 599 lbs., 97.00 to 103.75 (100.29); 608 to 635 lbs., 97.00 to 98.50 (97.26); 661 to 699 lbs., 94.00 to 103.50 (100.59); 702 to 734 lbs., 93.75 to 101.00 (95.86); 761 to 798 lbs., 90.00 to 98.00 (94.83); 804 to 849 lbs., 87.75 to 95.85 (94.70); 850 to 880 lbs., 90.00 to 96.75 (95.18); 11 head, 923 to 945 lbs., 87.50 to 89.75 (89.33); 19 head, 981 lbs., 88.00.
