Annual Small Ruminant Program to be held Nov. 14

Colorado

Each year, the Colorado State University Small Ruminant Work Team conducts an annual Small Ruminant Program. The program is held in a different area of the state each year to allow greater overall access for sheep and goat producers throughout the state. The 2009 program is headed to Northeastern Colorado and will be held at the brand new Phillips County Event Center at the Phillips County Fairgrounds. The facility is just north of Holyoke (about 1/8 of a mile) on the west side of Hwy. 385.

The cost of the program is $12 for adults and $6 for youth. A lamb lunch will be provided with your registration fee, so a registration deadline of November 10, is necessary to plan the meal. Registration forms can be found at your Colorado State University Extension office or online at http://goldenplains.colostate.edu/.

This will be a great one-day program for producers and youth alike. Join us Nov. 14 in Holyoke. For more information, you may contact the Yuma County Extension office at 970-332-4151.
