25th annual Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show starts Dec. 1

The 25th annual Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show will take place Dec. 1 to 3 at the Amarillo Civic Center in Amarillo, Texas. The event is produced by Cygnus Expositions, a division of Cygnus Business Media, and will host more than 500 local and leading exhibitors to showcase the latest products and services in the agriculture industry.

Each year, the Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show attracts over 30,000 attendees from the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles, as well as New Mexico, Colorado and Kansas. The event encompasses every aspect of farming and ranching and is a one-stop shop for attendees to interact with manufactures, obtain necessary CEU credits and network with other producers in the region.

The Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show will once again host two symposiums during the second day of the show in the Grand Plaza Room at the Amarillo Civic Center. The Texas Commodity Symposium, now in its ninth year, will take place Dec. 2 with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m., and the Symposium beginning at 9 a.m., and will conclude with a catered lunch at noon. The 25th annual Texas A&M Annual Panhandle Farm & Ranch Management Symposium will follow beginning at 1:30 p.m., and will be offering continuing education units. Both events are included in the $2 admission cost to the Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show.

Back for its second year is the Dairy Producers Conference and Expo held Dec. 3 in conjunction with the 2009 show. The Dairy Producers Conference & Expo will be held in the Grand Plaza Room at the Amarillo Civic Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 1 and 2, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 3. Admission is $2 with 100 percent of the proceeds being donated back to local FFA chapters.
