MGGA travels state seeking producer input

Montana

Receiving input from producers in the communities where they live and work is a top priority for the Montana Grain Growers Association as they hit the road for their annual fall listening sessions beginning Oct. 26.

Updates on current agricultural issues will be provided, but the majority of the time at each meeting will be reserved for producer feedback. "This organization is grass roots driven," stated Bing Von Bergen, MGGA president and wheat and barley producer from Moccasin, Mont. "Our annual listening sessions give producers a chance to have direct input on the priorities of the organization and are fundamental to setting MGGA's course for the coming year. It's very important that we do this in the communities where our members farm."

Both members and non-members are encouraged to attend. Come out to the meetings--bring your opinions, a neighbor, state legislator or prospective member and let us know how we're doing and what we can do to improve your grower association.
