Lexington livestock market reportThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 960 head Oct. 30, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to the sale two weeks ago, based on a narrow test steers and heifers trended steady. Demand and trade activity were moderate to good. The total receipts consisted of 47% steers and 53% heifers, with 39% of the total offerings weighing over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and Large 1, 5 head, 436 lbs., 118.25; 466 to 477 lbs., 111.00 to 118.00 (115.09); 505 to 515 lbs., 105.25 to 110.75 (110.09); 557 to 592 lbs., 94.50 to 102.75 (99.87); 605 to 647 lbs., 90.00 to 98.00 (94.79); 706 to 742 lbs., 92.00 to 95.50 (94.83); 47 head, 840 lbs., 94.25. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 15 head, 358 to 394 lbs., 102.50 to 108.00 (104.45); 17 head, 429 to 446 lbs., 95.00 to 96.00 (95.46); 452 to 493 lbs., 90.25 to 97.25 (95.43); 24 head, 460 lbs., 102.00 fancy; 527 to 546 lbs., 88.00 to 93.00 (91.83); 553 to 574 lbs., 89.25 to 92.50 (91.21); 623 to 635 lbs., 88.50 to 89.75 (88.97); 36 head, 651 lbs., 90.35; 24 head, 732 lbs., 91.25; 750 to 783 lbs., 86.25 to 89.50 (88.94).
