Four States Ag Expo Bull and Heifer Show and Sale open for entries

Colorado

The Four Corners area is home to many outstanding cattle breeding programs, but bringing buyers' attention to excellent livestock can be a challenge. Now, with as many as 12,000 visitors over the four-day event, the annual Four States Ag Expo has become the premier venue to bring fine breeding stock to a broad customer base.

The 2010 Ag Expo will run March 18 to 21, with opportunities both to showcase animals and to sell them. It's a smart time to build up a ranch breeding program. The Expo will be held at the Monument County Faigrounds in Cortez, Colo.

The annual Bull and Heifer Sale brings buyers from throughout the four states, looking for--and finding--elite breeding stock to enhance their programs. The 2010 sale will be held March 20. Fees are reasonable: enter for a non-refundable nomination fee of $125; a flat $100 commission will be assessed on each animal sold. Owner sets the bidding floor.

Seed Stock Row offers breeders an affordable way to display fine stock in front of the public throughout the whole event. Pens are available at modest prices, either indoors or outside (12- by 12-feet and 10- by 10-feet sizes).

Entries close Feb. 1, 2010, with full refund cancellations possible until March 1, after which a suitable replacement must be provided or seller forfeits the fee. Check-in is no later than 8 p.m., March 17. Additional terms and conditions apply.
