Dodge City cattle sales reportReceipts at Dodge City Winter Livestock, Inc., reported receipts of 3,671 head Nov. 18, compared to 3,416 head last week and 5,268 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, steers at 400 to 700 pounds were steady to $5 higher, and 700 to 950 pounds were steady to $2 lower. Heifers at 350 to 600 pounds were steady to firm, 600 to 700 pounds were steady to $3 higher; 700 to 950 pounds not enough for a comparison, but a lower undertone was noted. Slaughter cows were steady to $2 lower. Slaughter bulls were steady. Trade and demand were moderate. Receipts included 61% over 600 pounds, 35% under 600 pounds and 4% slaughter cows and bulls with 134 early. The feeder supply consisted of 55% steers and 45% heifers.
