Watertown cattle sales reportThe South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 1,050 head Nov. 18, compared to 700 head last week and 740 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers and feeder heifers were steady to $2 higher. Feeder steers made up 58% of the sale, feeder heifers made up 42% of the run, with 60% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 455 to 499 lbs., 104.75 to 109.00 (106.34); 568 to 570 lbs., 104.00 to 104.25 (104.08); 602 to 627 lbs., 97.00 calves; 33 head, 654 lbs., 96.50 calves; 9 head, 713 to 723 lbs., 89.50 to 94.75 (91.82); 32 head, 939 lbs., 87.70; 1022 to 1044 lbs., 87.60. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 6 head, 490 lbs., 96.00; 6 head, 514 lbs., 101.50; 13 head, 598 lbs., 97.50; 8 head, 822 lbs., 85.50; 9 head, 948 lbs., 87.50; 24 head, 999 lbs., 85.25.
