Tulia livestock auction reportThe Tulia Livestock Auction, Tulia, Texas, reported receipts of 2,092 head Nov. 16, compared to 2,170 head last week and 3,539 head last year, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture Market News-USDA Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were $2 to $5 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to $1 lower. Trade and demand were moderate. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 300- to 900-pound feeder steers and heifers. Slaughter cows and bulls made up 2% of the offering, replacement cows less than 1%, and feeders 97%. The feeder supply included 65% steers, 1% bulls and 34% heifers, with near 65% of the run weighed over 600 pounds.
