Lexington livestock sales report

The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 2,850 head Nov. 13, compared to 2,900 head last week and 1,750 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb.

Compared with last week, steers trended mostly steady to $3 higher. Heifer trade was uneven with the bulk trending mostly steady. Demand was moderate to good and trading was moderately active. Receipts consisted of 54% steers and 46% heifers with 25% of the total feeder cattle receipts weighing over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 10 head, 312 to 331 lbs., 123.00 to 126.00 (125.06); 16 head, 350 to 398 lbs., 116.00 to 122.00 (121.33); 400 to 417 lbs., 114.00 to 123.25 (120.09); 452 to 482 lbs., 111.50 to 117.50 (114.26); 501 to 547 lbs., 101.75 to 113.10 (106.64); 555 to 590 lbs., 93.00 to 102.35 (99.00); 610 to 646 lbs., 99.00 to 103.75 (102.10); 680 to 697 lbs., 100.00 to 102.75 (101.07); 718 to 740 lbs., 90.00 to 96.50 (95.60); 18 head, 752 to 794 lbs., 94.00; 815 to 823 lbs., 92.50 to 97.25 (96.40); 13 head, 951 lbs., 91.25. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 11 head, 407 to 443 lbs., 112.50 to 113.00 (112.64); 466 to 499 lbs., 105.25 to 108.50 (106.76); 11 head, 586 lbs., 93.75; 600 to 643 lbs., 88.00 to 97.00 (94.31); 650 to 695 lbs., 80.00 to 94.50 (89.89); 10 head, 946 lbs., 87.25.
