Georgia cattle auction summaryThe summary of livestock auctions in Georgia for the week ending Nov. 13, showed receipts of 9,619 head, compared to 10,524 head last week and 11,093 head last year, according to the USDA-Georgia Department of Agriculture Market News, Thomasville, Ga. Compared to one week ago, slaughter cows and bulls were $2 lower. Feeder steers, steer calves and heifers were steady to $2 higher. Heifer calves were steady to $1 higher. Replacement cows were unevenly steady. The offering included 9% steers over 600 pounds, 35% steers under 600 pounds, 9% heifers over 600 pounds, 27% heifers under 600 pounds, 7% feeder cows, 12% slaughter cows and 1% bulls.
