Ericson cattle sales reportThe Ericson Spalding Livestock Auction, Ericson, Neb., reported receipts of 1,691 head Nov, 14, compared to 4,168 head last week and 3,500 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared with last week, based on a limited test steers trended steady and there was no comparable offering for heifers. Demand was moderate to good and trade was active. Receipts consisted of 58% steers and 42% heifers, with 18% of total offerings weighing over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 329 lbs., 127.50; 373 to 375 lbs., 122.00 to 123.50 (123.07); 411 to 441 lbs., 114.00 to 123.00 (118.26); 486 to 499 lbs., 105.50 to 112.50 (109.50); 500 to 515 lbs., 107.50 to 112.25 (110.22); 557 to 599 lbs., 100.00 to 109.00 (104.90); 604 to 647 lbs., 101.75 to 104.75 (103.29); 9 head, 667 lbs., 87.50. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 23 head, 549 lbs., 103.50. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 329 lbs., 118.00; 375 to 398 lbs., 108.50 to 109.25 (108.86); 400 to 432 lbs., 104.50 to 110.25 (107.29); 457 to 498 lbs., 95.00 to 102.50 (97.64); 501 to 547 lbs., 94.25 to 100.00 (98.68); 552 to 573 lbs., 88.25 to 96.00 (93.99); 51 head, 588 lbs., 106.50 replacement; 8 head, 606 lbs., 91.00; 23 head, 763 lbs., 91.75.
