Dalhart livestock sales reportThe Cattleman's Livestock Auction, Dalhart, Texas, reported receipts of 3,493 head Nov. 12, compare to 2,945 head last week and 2,958 head last year, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture Market News-USDA Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to last week, feeder steers were firm to $2 higher. Feeder heifers were firm except 400 to 500 pounds were $2 to $4 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls were $1 to $2 lower. Trade was active. Demand was good. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 350- to 850-pound feeder steers and heifers. Slaughter cows made up 15% of the offering, slaughter bulls 1%, replacement cows 2%, and feeders 82%. The feeder supply included 54% steers and 46% heifers, with nearly 44% of the run over 600 pounds.
