South Central Direct sheep salesThe South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Nov. 13, totaled 800 head of sheep, 250 head of replacement ewes and 700 head of slaughter meat goats, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas. Compared to last week, feeder lambs were steady. There were no slaughter lambs, or slaughter ewes. Trading and demand were moderate. Available supply of lambs is limited. Feeder lambs: Texas, 800 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 90 lbs., 102.00 to 103.00. Replacement ewes: Texas, 250 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, ewe lambs 75 to 80 lbs., 110.00 to 112.00. Slaughter meat goats: Kids, Texas, 700 head, Selection 1, 65 to 70 lbs., for a specialty order 135.00. Selection 1 to 2, 55 lbs., 125.00.
