Charolais results from American Royal announced

The Royal Breeder's Ten Grand Sale was a success selling several impressive females to breeders across the country. During the sale, the Missouri Junior Charolais Association sold raffle tickets for a heifer of choice out of the sale. The consignor of the selected heifer also received $10,000. The winner of the Ten Grand drawing was Wild Indian Acres, House Springs, Mo. They selected JASR Infinity 8V Pld, 2-24-09, by PF Infinite Justice 1001 PET, from J&S Ranch, Koshkonong, Mo. Thanks to everyone that participated in supporting the Juniors.

--17 Open Heifers averaged $3,138

--1 Flush grossed $2,000

Royal Breeder's Bull Classic

The Royal Breeder's Bull Classic was the center of attention on Oct. 30, presenting a strong set of Charolais futurity bulls. The

Royal Breeder's Bull Classic members chose 3 bulls to top the ranks. Grand Champion Bull and $6,000 was awarded to Big Creek Indian Outlaw 932 P, nominated by Big Creek Charolais, Harrisonville, Mo. Reserve Grand Champion Bull and $2,500 was awarded to JAB Top Dawg 896, nominated by J&A Charolais, Sparta, Wis. Lastly, 3rd Place Overall and $1,500 was awarded to WC Flex Fuel 8208 P ET, nominated by Wright-Curtis Charolais, Richmond, Mo.

Junior Charolais Show

Cody Lowederman, Macomb, Ill., evaluated the 44 Junior Heifer Show entries and selected DCF Pure Gold 802 P, exhibited by Haley Dennis, Saint Jo, Texas as Grand Champion Female. Reserve Champion Female went to KR Miss Easy Pro 8063, shown by Cally Thomas, Harrold, S.D. Other winners are as follows:

--Calf Champion: PC Golden Freedom P903. Haley Dennis

--Reserve Calf Champion: OBG Elvira 8115. Lauren Greeson, Coatesville, Ind.

--Intermediate Champion: CC Kadi 807 Pld. Cally Thomas

--Reserve Intermediate Champion: KASS Material Girl U70ET. Will Blankers, London Mills, Ill., National ROE American Royal

Charolais Show

The National ROE Show exhibited 139 entries evaluated by Blake Bloomberg, College Station, Texas. Grand Champion Female went to KR Miss Easy Pro 8063, shown by Cally Thomas. Reserve Grand Champion Female went to LaFraise Keisha 48 shown by Trent Bertsche, Flanagan, Ill. Mead-RF X-Factor G584 P, shown by Ridder Farms, Hermann, Mo. and Polzin Cattle, Darwin, Minn., was selected as Grand Champion Bull. Reserve Grand Champion Bull went to Bar J Charolais, Liverpool, Texas and MOGO Charolais, Florence, Ala., with HAMM Mogo U23.
