Kansas Beef Expo offers new venue

Kansas

The Kansas Beef Expo has had a long tradition in Kansas offering producers a venue to showcase and market their beef genetics. In continuing that tradition a new venue is being offered to enhance the market offering for producers. Along with the annual winter event held in Hutchinson the Kansas Beef Expo will also offer a spring event to be held in Salina, Kan., March 27, 2010.

The spring event will offer an opportunity to producers to market breeding stock to cattlemen across the Midwest. The event will host a live cattle auction, trade show and other events focused on the cattle business. The spring event is set to be held at the Farmers and Ranchers Livestock Commission in Salina.

Plans for the 2009 Winter Expo are well under way. The Winter Beef Expo will feature a Junior Livestock Show, Show Heifer and Steer Sale and Pen Bull Show. Both events are hosted by the Kansas Beef Expo and are open to any exhibitors and producers across the nation.

For more information on either event please visit www.kansasbeefexpo.com or contact Quint Huncovsky at 785-259-4122 or quint@kansasbeefexpo.com.
