Dodge City cattle sales reportDodge City Winter Livestock, Inc., reported receipts of 3,412 head Oct. 28, compared to 3,288 head last week and 2,976 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, steers at 300 to 750 pounds were firm to $2 higher and 750 to 1,000 pounds were steady to $2 higher. Heifers at 400 to 750 pounds were steady and 750 to 900 pounds were steady to $1 lower. Slaughter cows were weak to $2 lower. Slaughter bulls were steady. Trade and demand were moderate. Receipts included 67% over 600 pounds, 29% under 600 pounds and 4% slaughter cows and bulls with 147 head, early. The feeder supply consisted of 54% steers and 46% heifers.
