Pratt 3 p.m. cattle sales report

The Pratt Livestock Auction, Pratt, Kan., Aug. 29, reported estimated receipts of 1,300 head, according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared with last week, on a light offering, steers over 750 pounds and heifers over 700 pounds were steady to $3 higher. Steers under 750 pounds and heifers under 700 pounds were firm on a light test.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 350 to 400 lbs., 113.00 to 118.00; 400 to 450 lbs., 109.00 to 112.00; 5 head, 515 lbs., 102.00; 750 to 800 lbs., 92.50 to 96.85; 62 head, 822 lbs., 94.60; 850 to 900 lbs., 90.50 to 94.75; 7 head, 979 lbs., 91.10; 43 head, 1000 lbs., 90.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 400 to 450 lbs., 94.00 to 95.00; 500 to 550 lbs., 88.00 to 92.00; 9 head, 641 lbs., 87.50; 700 to 750 lbs., 85.75 to 86.50; 750 to 800 lbs., 84.35 to 87.25; 42 head, 807 lbs., 83.50.
