Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were $1 to $2 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Trade and demand were good. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 250- to 950-pound feeder steers and heifers. Slaughter cows and bulls made up 3% of the offering, replacement cows less than 1%, and feeders 96%. The feeder supply included 67% steers, 1% bulls and 32% heifers, with nearly 61% of the run over 600 pounds.
