Outside markets pressured grains as the stock market, crude oil and precious metals all closed lower. Wheat closed 15 to 21 cents lower. Corn traded 13 to 20 cents lower. Soybeans closed 14 to 20 cents lower. In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $5.31, down 18 1/2 cents. Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $4.66, down 19 cents; Minneapolis, $5.65 3/4, down 15 cents; Portland, $4.78 to $5.10, down 9 to up 5 cents; St. Louis, $3.23, down 21 cents. Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $3.53 to $3.58, down 20 cents; Minneapolis, $3.43, down 15 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, $3.55 to $3.61, down 13 3/4 to 15 3/4 cents; Omaha, $3.54 to $3.65, down 20 cents. Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $9.87, down 19 cents; Minneapolis, $9.70 1/2, down 20 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $9.84 1/2 to $9.87, down 14 1/2 to 20 cents; central Illinois processors, $9.81 1/2 to $10.06 1/2, down 19 1/2 cents. Kansas City wheat prices Oct. 27, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $4.85 1/2 to $5.38 1/2, down 20 1/2 cents; 12% protein, $5.29 1/2 to $5.49 1/2, down 20 1/2 cents; 13% protein, $5.38 1/2 to $5.68 1/2, down 20 1/2 cents; 14% protein, $5.57 1/2 to $5.72 1/2, down 20 1/2 cents.
