Ogallala livestock auction reportThe Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 2,200 head Oct. 29, compared to 3,400 head last week and 2,500 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, steers and heifers trended $1 to $7 higher. There was no comparison on weights over 650 pounds. Steers accounted for 68% and heifers 32% of the offering, with 14% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 366 to 387 lbs., 119.75 to 125.00 (121.22); 403 to 449 lbs., 118.00 to 125.50 (122.97); 462 to 494 lbs., 113.00 to 119.75 (115.79); 500 to 543 lbs., 102.00 to 112.00 (107.53); 562 to 588 lbs., 95.00 to 104.50 (101.51); 600 to 649 lbs., 92.50 to 99.50 (96.74); 21 head, 674 lbs., 96.25; 20 head, 744 lbs., 94.25; 8 head, 820 lbs., 90.00; 47 head, 853 lbs., 94.00; 6 head, 970 lbs., 88.25. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 424 to 448 lbs., 110.00 to 115.50 (111.33); 9 head, 539 lbs., 95.50.
